Clogged gutters are not a fall cleanup chore. They are a water-control failure that happens to be seasonal. A gutter packed with wet leaves stops carrying water and starts holding it: the overflow runs down the face of the siding instead of into the downspout, the added weight pulls the hangers away from the fascia, and under mature trees the whole thing clogs again within a season of being cleared.
