We are absolutely thrilled with the new siding installed by 3G Home Exterior! They gave us a fair and transparent price with no hidden fees, and the quality of work was outstanding. The crew showed incredible craftsmanship, paying close attention to every detail of the woodwork and trim. They were professional, stayed on schedule, and left our yard spotless at the end of every day. Our home looks beautiful and completely refreshed.Jake, the owner of the company, is amazing! Very responsive and cares about his customers with empathy and respect!

Great experience with Jamie and his crew for gutter replacement. Jamie gave a no nonsense quote, very straight forward. He scheduled me and got the crew out within a week. They finsihed in a few hours. I paid the final invoice. Done! Previously, I had requested four quotes from four different contractors. 3G was the cheapest and most qualified in my opinion. It's ridiculous the amount of nonsense other contractors display not knowing I'm a woman with 13 years in construction. I always play dumb, because I want to see who NOT to hire. Jamie treated me fairly and with respect from the start. He gave an appropriate price, clear terms, and provided his license and insurance without hesitation. Wonderful experience and I will be calling 3G back for my garage siding project. Very pleased with their work and professionalism.

Windy weather bent the aluminum siding on the peaks of our home. 3G came out and fixed it like new. Friendly people and easy to work with.

In Troy, MI, I hired 3G to install gutter guards and additional downspouts. In addition to a job well done I was most impressed with their excellent customer service, responsiveness and timeliness.

3G was excellent to work with. They kept appointment times, did everything they promised. We love our new micro mesh gutter guards. No more water overflowing onto our porch. No more locust leaves or seeds to clean. Best of all, no more climbing on the roof. Would highly recommend.

Jamie was very pleasant individual to speak with and made sure to call to update me on any details. The roofing itself is amazing, the group that was here did a great job with clean up and taking off the old roof. No more leaking in my backroom!!!

How to read any contractor’s reviews, including ours

Exterior work is bought once or twice in a lifetime, so most people have no reference point for what a good contractor looks like. Reviews help, but only if you read them properly.

  • Read the three-star ones first. They are the most informative reviews on any profile. A five-star review tells you the job went well. A three-star tells you what happened when something went wrong, and how the company handled it.
  • Look at the dates. Reviews spread across years are a business that keeps working. Twenty reviews in one week are a campaign.
  • Look for specifics. A review that mentions the crew, the timeline, or what was found under the old material was written by somebody who was actually there.
  • Check whether the company replies. Not the thank-yous, the replies to complaints. That is where you see how a problem gets handled.
  • Check the address. A local company with a real shop is reachable after the job is paid for. After a storm there will be trucks on your street that are not.

Why we ask for the review after the final walkthrough

We ask once, after the walkthrough, when you have seen the finished work and the site is clean. Not on the first morning, and not while the crew is still on the roof.

That means fewer reviews than we could collect. It also means the ones we have describe a finished job rather than a good first impression, and that is the trade we would rather make.

See the work, not just the words

A review tells you how a job felt to the person who paid for it. It does not show you the flashing detail, or what the deck looked like under the old shingles. Both are worth looking at, and there are completed projects with photographs in our gallery. At the estimate we can point you to work near your own street.

Leave a review

If we have worked on your house and you have a minute, it helps a family-owned company considerably more than it helps a national one. Good or bad, we would rather know.

Questions about references and reviews

Can I speak to a past customer before I sign?

Yes. Ask at the estimate and we will put you in touch with someone whose job was similar to yours, ideally nearby. A contractor who cannot do that is telling you something.

Can I see a job in progress?

Usually, with the homeowner’s agreement. Seeing a roof with the shingles off, or a wall with the siding stripped, tells you more about how a company works than any finished photograph.

Are these reviews filtered in any way?

No. The feed comes directly from our Google profile and shows what is on it. We cannot remove a review, and we would not want the kind of trust that comes from being able to.

What happens if something is wrong after the job?

You call us and we come back. We are based on Fraser Drive in Fraser and we work the same three counties every week, which is the practical reason a local company is easier to hold to account than a crew that followed a storm into town.
