- Layer count — a second layer means more tear-off, more disposal, and a different number
- Ice barrier — self-adhering membrane at the eaves, carried far enough inside the wall line to matter
- Attic ventilation — intake at the soffit and exhaust at the ridge, checked on every estimate
Repair or replace in Troy

Is architectural shingle worth the upgrade?

What is the most common leak point you find?
Chimney and sidewall flashing, by a wide margin. Shingles get replaced and old flashing gets reused, and the leak comes back.
Do you replace flashing as standard?
On a full replacement, yes. Reusing old step flashing to save money is a false economy and we will not quote it that way.
