Siding work in Clinton Township
Because Clinton Township grew in waves rather than all at once, we see everything from original aluminium that has chalked through to early vinyl that has gone brittle at the nail hem. The inspection matters more here than in a uniform subdivision, because two houses on the same road can need completely different scopes.
3G Home Exteriors is family-owned and has operated out of Fraser since 2011. Clinton Township sits in Macomb County, which is inside the three-county area we cover every week, so a Clinton Township job is a short run for our crew rather than an out-of-area trip we have to schedule around.
Our siding work
Completed 3G projects from across Macomb and Oakland counties. At the inspection we can show you examples closer to your own street.

What we replace, and what we leave alone
Not every siding call ends in a full replacement. On a house where the panels are sound but the trim has failed, the honest answer is trim and soffit work, not a whole elevation. We inspect the wall behind the finish before quoting: house wrap, sheathing condition, window flashing and any staining that suggests water has been getting in for a while.
- Full siding replacement — tear-off to the sheathing, repairs where needed, then new vinyl or fiber cement
- Siding repair — cracked, loose or storm-damaged panels matched as closely as the original allows
- Soffit, fascia and trim — often the real source of the problem, and checked against attic ventilation
- Wrap and flashing corrections — the part nobody sees and the part that decides how long the new siding lasts
Vinyl or fiber cement for a Clinton Township home
Vinyl is the default for most of the houses we side, and for good reason: it handles Michigan freeze-thaw well, it is the better value on a straightforward elevation, and a good installer can make it look far better than its reputation. Fiber cement earns its premium on homes where the detail matters — deeper shadow lines, wider trim, a finish that holds paint.
We quote both when both make sense. Full detail on each is on our vinyl siding and trim page and our Hardie board siding page.
Siding is part of the exterior, not a separate job
Water that gets behind siding usually did not start at the siding. It started at a roof edge, a gutter that overflows, or a downspout that dumps against the wall. We quote the whole water path because fixing one part and ignoring the rest is how the same problem comes back in three years.
- Seamless gutters — sized from the actual roof, not a standard
- Residential roofing — roof edge detailing that keeps water off the wall
- Exterior drainage — where the water lands once it leaves the downspout
- Exterior painting — for homes staying with the existing surface
Questions we get from Clinton Township homeowners
My neighbour got a quote half of mine. Why?
Usually scope. A quote that assumes the sheathing is sound and the wrap stays in place is cheaper until the tear-off proves otherwise. Ours states what is included and what would be extra, with the price per unit, before work starts.
Do you handle condo and association properties?
We work on single-family homes and on association-owned buildings where the board has authority to contract. If your association controls the exterior, the approval has to come from them before we can schedule.
How long does a full siding job take?
Most single-family homes are three to five working days depending on size, trim detail and what the tear-off uncovers. Weather extends it; we do not hang siding in driving rain.
